Introduction
Waking up easily from light sounds during sleep may be caused by poor sleep environment, heightened sensitivity to sound, or unhealthy dietary habits before bedtime. 1. Poor sleep environment: Excessive noise in the sleeping environment. 2. Heightened sensitivity to sound: Increased auditory sensitivity may affect the cerebral cortex. 3. Unhealthy pre-sleep diet: May cause abnormal excitation of the brain’s nervous system.

Waking up easily from even slight sounds during sleep may be caused by poor sleep environment, heightened auditory sensitivity, or unhealthy pre-sleep dietary habits, all of which can negatively affect sleep quality.

1. Poor sleep environment: An excessively noisy sleep environment can disrupt rest. During light sleep stages, even faint external sounds may cause awakening. It is essential to improve the sleep environment by ensuring it remains quiet and free from excessive noise.

2. Heightened auditory sensitivity: This condition is often closely associated with increased sensitivity to sound. Auditory stimuli during sleep may activate the cerebral cortex, prompting some individuals to awaken. Providing a calm, quiet sleep environment is typically recommended.

3. Unhealthy pre-sleep diet: Waking up easily from minor sounds may also result from consuming stimulants such as coffee or alcohol before bedtime. These substances can abnormally excite the central nervous system, preventing transition into deep sleep; consequently, even faint sounds may trigger awakening. To avoid stimulating the nervous system and disrupting normal sleep, caffeine and alcohol intake should be avoided close to bedtime.
