Introduction
Circumcision is generally recommended for patients with phimosis. However, circumcision is specifically indicated only in adult patients who continue to experience phimosis. Additionally, circumcision is warranted in patients with phimosis who suffer recurrent balanoposthitis due to repeated irritation of the inner preputial surface and glans penis.

Patients with phimosis are generally advised to undergo surgical intervention promptly. However, not all individuals with redundant prepuce require circumcision; this procedure is indicated only for adults who continue to experience significant phimosis.

Circumcision is specifically recommended for patients with persistent phimosis who repeatedly develop balanoposthitis due to chronic irritation of the inner preputial surface and glans penis. If the foreskin can be easily retracted manually to fully expose the glans without any history of balanoposthitis, surgical intervention is unnecessary.

Failure to address severe phimosis surgically may lead to complications, including urinary or ejaculatory dysfunction—particularly in cases of severe phimosis; discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse, or inability to engage in sexual activity; increased risk of recurrent balanoposthitis; elevated risk of penile cancer; and potential psychological distress.

Men should maintain good personal hygiene by bathing regularly and changing underwear frequently to effectively reduce bacterial proliferation. Engaging in appropriate physical exercise helps enhance immune function. Maintaining a regular sleep schedule helps prevent endocrine imbalances and associated fatigue or lethargy.
