Introduction
After undergoing an induced abortion, women’s bodies tend to be relatively weak, and it is essential to consume nutrient-rich foods to support recovery. A recuperation period of approximately two weeks is generally recommended; however, women with pre-existing physical weakness, poor constitution, or significant blood loss may require a longer recovery period, adjusted according to individual needs. During the first two weeks following the procedure, it is advisable to consume foods such as chicken, lean pork, eggs, dairy products, and soy-based foods.

In general, women tend to experience physical weakness following an induced abortion and therefore require dietary adjustments to support recovery—specifically, consuming nutrient-rich foods that promote bodily restoration. It is recommended to eat a variety of nutritious foods, along with fresh vegetables and fruits. Within the first two weeks after the procedure, prioritize intake of chicken, lean pork, eggs, dairy products, and soy-based foods. Avoid spicy or stimulating foods such as chili peppers and alcohol.

Additionally, ensure adequate iron intake to prevent post-abortion anemia. A recuperation period of approximately two weeks is generally advised; however, women with pre-existing physical weakness, poor constitution, or significant blood loss may require a longer recovery period, adjusted according to individual needs. Some women may experience symptoms including fatigue, lethargy, and insomnia. Targeted dietary interventions are thus recommended: for insomnia, consuming red dates (jujubes) is beneficial; additionally, sour jujube seed decoction may be used to effectively alleviate these symptoms. To address fatigue, drinking pigeon soup is recommended, as it helps replenish both qi and blood.
