1. Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases

As a beta-adrenergic receptor blocker, it is indicated for heart failure, cardiac neurosis, hypertension, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and hyperthyroidism. It demonstrates marked efficacy in improving cardiac function and controlling arrhythmias. Additionally, it effectively lowers blood pressure and heart rate, thereby providing significant benefits in the management of cardiovascular diseases.

2. Regulation of Blood Glucose and Lipid Metabolism

1. As Betaxolol is a medication used for conditions such as myocardial infarction and belongs to the class of sympathomimetic agents, long-term use may cause upper abdominal discomfort, fatigue, insomnia, nonspecific skin reactions, and cold extremities in a small number of patients.

2. Administration of Betaxolol may also lead to adverse effects including bradycardia, atrioventricular conduction block, hypotension, worsening heart failure, peripheral vasoconstriction resulting in absent peripheral pulses, and Raynaud’s phenomenon.
