Introduction
Balanitis is characterized primarily by redness and swelling of the foreskin, the appearance of small vesicles, and intense burning pain. In severe cases, it may affect the urinary system and cause purulent discharge continuously oozing from the urethral meatus. Genital herpes is highly contagious. If one不幸 contracts genital herpes, numerous small vesicles will appear on the penis, accompanied by a burning sensation and pruritus.

Everyone inevitably falls ill at some point. For men, developing small blisters on the penis can be extremely uncomfortable—what could be causing this? The specific causes are as follows:

① Balanitis

A common genitourinary condition in men, balanitis primarily manifests as redness and swelling of the foreskin, small blisters, red spots or patches, increased smegma accumulation, and pruritus (itching) of the glans penis. It is often caused by phimosis (excessively long or tight foreskin), which is the most prevalent anatomical variation among males. In severe cases, it may impair urinary function and result in purulent discharge continuously oozing from the urethral meatus.

② Genital Herpes

A highly contagious viral skin infection. When infected with genital herpes, numerous small blisters appear on the penis, accompanied by burning sensations and intense itching. Friction or trauma may induce erythematous papules, followed by clusters of vesicles; in advanced stages, the lesions may progress to suppuration.

③ Scrotal Eczema

Scrotal eczema may cause small blisters on the penile skin. As a common subtype of eczema, it typically affects the scrotal and perianal skin; in rare instances, it may extend to the penile shaft. Key symptoms include erythema, edema, severe pruritus, and tiny, pinhead- to millet grain–sized vesicular papules.
