Introduction
Wash the external genitalia 1–2 times daily. For optimal treatment, use antifungal vaginal suppositories (e.g., miconazole) inserted deeply into the vagina or take oral antifungal medications (e.g., fluconazole). Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. Maintain cleanliness of the external genitalia; wash undergarments daily and sterilize them with high-temperature methods (e.g., boiling). Towels and other personal items used during this period should be scalded with boiling water.

Vaginal candidiasis is a common vulvovaginal inflammation caused by infection with *Candida albicans*. Clinically, the vagina may be irrigated with a 5% sodium bicarbonate solution, followed by intravaginal insertion of nystatin suppositories until symptoms resolve. The specific procedure is as follows:

  1. Clean the external genitalia with plain water, or perform vaginal irrigation after bathing.

  2. Prepare the solution: Dissolve 25 g of sodium bicarbonate powder (commonly known as baking soda) completely in 500 mL of purified water.

  3. Fill the prepared solution into an irrigation device and assume a squatting position.

  4. Irrigation: Gently insert the tip of the irrigation device along the lateral vaginal wall to a depth of 9–10 cm; then manually compress the device to allow the solution to flow into the vagina. Continue irrigation for 3–5 minutes, then withdraw the device.
