The Fastest and Most Effective Methods to Resolve Phlegm
Generally speaking, there is no such thing as a “fastest and most effective method to resolve white phlegm.” When the body is infected with a virus, excessive white phlegm may be produced. If phlegm volume is substantial, nebulized inhalation therapy—administered under a physician’s guidance—may be recommended. This therapy utilizes inhaled corticosteroids to thin and facilitate the expulsion of phlegm, thereby exerting an expectorant effect. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. Prior to treatment, the patient should avoid vigorous physical activity and rest in a semi-recumbent position on the bed;
2. A nurse fills the nebulizer with normal saline and a corticosteroid solution;
3. After the nurse turns on the device and adjusts the flow rate, the patient places the nebulizer mouthpiece in their mouth and performs deep breathing for 15–20 minutes;
4. Upon completion of inhalation, the patient turns off the device and rinses their mouth with a small amount of clean water, then spits it out.
We recommend seeking care at a reputable hospital and undergoing this procedure only under the supervision of a qualified physician. Should any discomfort arise, prompt medical attention is advised.
