How to internally regulate freckles on the face
Most women have freckles of varying degrees on their faces. Many prefer internal regulation (i.e., systemic approaches) to manage them. So, how can freckles be addressed through internal regulation?
How to Address Freckles Through Internal Regulation
If you have numerous facial pigmented spots, increase your intake of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, and maintain a regular sleep schedule—going to bed early and waking up early. Moisturizing lotions or almond oil can help keep the skin hydrated. During summer, sun protection is essential; avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) radiation. If freckles persist without fading—or if they darken or increase in number—consult a reputable hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Freckles are a very common pigmentary skin disorder clinically. Their development is closely associated with multiple factors, including UV radiation, hormonal imbalances, inappropriate use of cosmetics, or oral contraceptive use. Excessive psychological stress may also trigger freckle formation. Some patients exhibit unhealthy lifestyle habits—such as chronic fatigue, insufficient sleep, smoking, alcohol consumption, or prolonged exposure to computer and smartphone screens—which can contribute to the appearance of freckles.

Currently, the most effective treatments for freckle removal are intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy and Q-switched laser therapy. Depending on patient preference, IPL may be chosen to reduce most freckles while retaining a few, if desired. For complete freckle clearance, Q-switched laser therapy is recommended. Following Q-switched laser treatment, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may occur but typically fades gradually within 3–6 months. We hope this information proves helpful!
