For the breath-holding technique: sit quietly, clench your teeth, pinch your nostrils closed with two fingers, close your eyes, and gently force air into your ear canals. Alternatively, place a warm towel over your ears and gently rub them with your palms to dilate local blood vessels via thermal stimulation, thereby increasing regional blood supply.
