How to relieve pain from tympanitis
Otitis media requires a targeted treatment plan based on the underlying cause of inflammation.
If caused by bacterial infection, antibiotics may be prescribed under a physician’s guidance—commonly including cefixime tablets or amoxicillin capsules. Topical treatment with ofloxacin ear drops may also be used to exert antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, thereby alleviating pain and discomfort. If caused by viral infection, antiviral medications such as acyclovir tablets or oseltamivir capsules should be administered under medical supervision. For fungal infections, antifungal agents—including itraconazole capsules or terbinafine tablets—are indicated. In cases of pronounced pain, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for analgesia—such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules—may be added to achieve effective pain relief.
All the above medications must be selected and dosed appropriately under a physician’s guidance according to the individual patient’s condition. During treatment, maintain good ear hygiene, ensure adequate rest, avoid forceful nose-blowing, and refrain from consuming spicy or “heat-inducing” foods, all of which may otherwise delay recovery.
