Therapeutic Effects of Yinqiao Tablets
Yinqiao Tablets primarily function to clear heat and resolve toxicity, as well as clear heat and transform phlegm. Their principal ingredients include Lonicera japonica (Jinyinhua) and Forsythia suspensa (Lianqiao). They are indicated for acute upper respiratory tract infections—such as sore, red, swollen, and painful throat—accompanied by fever, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and sneezing. Yinqiao Tablets may also be used to treat facial furuncles (e.g., acne), thyroid nodules, mammary gland nodules, and mastitis. When taking Yinqiao Tablets, patients should drink plenty of water and consume ample fresh vegetables and fruits to increase their intake of vitamins and minerals, thereby enhancing metabolic activity. Spicy and irritating foods should be minimized.

Yinqiao Tablets are generally effective only for wind-heat type common colds. If symptoms such as sneezing and rhinorrhea arise from a wind-cold type common cold, self-administration of this medication is not recommended, as it may lead to inappropriate treatment and potentially worsen the condition.

Adverse reactions following Yinqiao Tablet administration may vary among individuals and include fatigue, thirst, drowsiness, and—in rare cases—urticaria or skin rash due to drug allergy. Patients with impaired hepatic or renal function must consult their physician prior to use and take the medication only under medical supervision.
