Is frequent urination at 35 weeks of pregnancy a sign that labor is imminent?
Frequent urination at 35 weeks of pregnancy is still a normal physiological phenomenon.

Increased urinary frequency during pregnancy has two primary causes. First, maternal metabolic waste increases during pregnancy, and fetal metabolic waste is also excreted via the maternal body—significantly increasing renal workload and thus urine output.
Second, in late pregnancy, the enlarging uterus—or descent of the fetal head—exerts pressure on the bladder, reducing its capacity and resulting in more frequent urination, often accompanied by a persistent sensation of incomplete bladder emptying.

However, if urinary frequency and urgency occur during urination, these symptoms are not necessarily indicative of a urinary tract disorder; therefore, there is no need for undue alarm. Nevertheless, it is advisable to consult a healthcare provider promptly to ensure timely evaluation and appropriate management.
Regular ultrasound examinations can be performed to monitor fetal development. If any discomfort arises, prompt medical evaluation and treatment at a hospital are recommended.
