Introduction
Oral patches typically refer to medicated patches used for treating oral ulcers—for example, dexamethasone acetate oral ulcer patches. Their application is extremely simple: just adhere the patch directly onto the ulcer surface after cleaning the area. If oral ulcers, gingival swelling and pain, or other oral discomforts recur frequently, prompt medical evaluation at a hospital is necessary to identify the underlying cause.

Oral patches are tablet-like preparations applied directly to the oral mucosa, where they are absorbed to exert either local or systemic therapeutic effects. They are commonly used to treat oral ulcers—for example, dexamethasone acetate oral ulcer patches. The proper method of use is as follows:

1. Preparation before application: Wash your hands thoroughly and gently clean the ulcer surface with a sterile cotton swab to remove any secretions.

2. Open the packaging and apply the medicated side of the patch directly onto the ulcer surface using either your finger or a cotton swab. Gently press down to ensure secure adhesion.

3. After applying the oral patch, if salivary or other oral secretions increase, gently wipe them away with a tissue—do not forcefully spit.

If recurrent oral ulcers, gingival swelling and pain, or other oral discomforts persist, consult a healthcare provider promptly to identify the underlying cause. In daily life, avoid staying up late and ensure adequate rest. Also maintain good oral hygiene by brushing teeth regularly and rinsing the mouth frequently.
