Introduction
Long-term consumption of bullfrogs may lead to excessive protein intake, thereby overburdening the gastrointestinal tract and causing indigestion. It may also result in excessive caloric intake, gradually promoting fat accumulation and leading to weight gain. Additionally, if bullfrogs are not thoroughly cooked during preparation, long-term consumption may cause parasitic infections, resulting in gastrointestinal discomfort; in severe cases, seizures may occur.

Long-term consumption of bullfrogs may lead to several health issues, including indigestion, weight gain, and parasitic infections.

1. Indigestion

Bullfrogs are high in protein, and the protein they contain is relatively difficult to digest. Consuming bullfrogs regularly may result in excessive protein intake, increasing the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and causing indigestion. This can manifest as abnormal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and diarrhea.

2. Weight Gain

Bullfrogs typically contain a significant amount of calories. If consumed frequently over a long period without adequate physical activity to burn off these calories, excess energy may accumulate in the body, gradually converting into fat and leading to weight gain.

3. Parasitic Infection

Bullfrogs often carry large numbers of parasites. If they are not thoroughly cooked during preparation, long-term consumption may lead to parasitic infections, resulting in gastrointestinal discomfort such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. In severe cases, infection with sparganum (a type of tapeworm) may occur, potentially causing abnormal electrical discharges in the brain's nerves and triggering epilepsy.
