Elevated potassium levels (hyperkalemia) in elderly individuals may cause symptoms such as bradycardia (slowed heart rate), numbness, and muscle aches; severe cases may present with confusion, nausea, and vomiting—potentially impairing the normal function of multiple organ systems.
