Introduction
If blood glucose levels are well-controlled, individuals with diabetes may consume small amounts of wampee fruit. Wampee is rich in vitamins, trace elements, and dietary fiber, and has a relatively low glycemic index. Consuming it between meals can increase dietary fiber intake, thereby promoting digestion. Additionally, wampee helps stabilize cholesterol levels and may prevent atherosclerosis.

People with diabetes can generally consume wax jambu (Clausena lansium), but portion control is essential to avoid overconsumption.

Patients with well-controlled blood glucose levels may consume small amounts of wax jambu. This fruit is rich in vitamins, trace elements, and dietary fiber, and has a relatively low glycemic index. Consuming it between meals can increase dietary fiber intake, help regulate basal metabolism and blood glucose management, and promote digestion. Additionally, wax jambu may help stabilize cholesterol levels and prevent atherosclerosis—though excessive intake should be avoided. Other low-sugar fruits suitable for people with diabetes include cherries, strawberries, and blueberries, all of which may be consumed in moderation.

Individuals with diabetes should maintain a nutritionally balanced diet. For staple foods, high-fiber options such as oats and buckwheat are recommended. High-fiber vegetables—including Chinese cabbage and celery—are also beneficial. Lean protein sources, such as fish and chicken, are preferable choices for meat. Total daily caloric intake must be carefully controlled.
