Introduction
If the patient sustains a mild closed soft-tissue injury to the head without significant clinical symptoms, recovery typically occurs within 1–2 weeks. However, for severe open soft-tissue injuries—particularly those requiring adjacent flap transplantation and debridement with suturing—the recovery period is significantly longer, often taking 3–4 weeks.

The recovery time for head soft tissue injuries depends on the severity of the injury.

Head soft tissue injuries typically involve conditions such as scalp hematoma, laceration, subgaleal hematoma, contusion-laceration, or avulsion of the scalp. Because the scalp has a rich blood supply, tissue healing tends to be relatively rapid. In cases of mild, closed head soft tissue injury without significant clinical symptoms, patients generally recover fully within 1–2 weeks. However, for more severe open soft tissue injuries—especially those requiring adjacent flap transplantation and debridement with suturing—the recovery period is significantly prolonged, often taking approximately 3–4 weeks for gradual healing.

During recovery from head soft tissue injury, patients must adhere to appropriate wound care and protect the injured area from excessive pressure to prevent infection triggered by adverse stimuli.
