Introduction
Patients with hyperthyroidism generally do not need to stop taking their anti-hyperthyroidism medication before receiving the 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. It is important, however, that thyroid function is adjusted to within the normal range and that the disease is in a stable phase prior to vaccination. Under these conditions, the HPV vaccine's efficacy is typically unaffected, and the 9-valent HPV vaccine does not exert any abnormal effects on hyperthyroidism.

The term "9-valent" refers to the 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, and it is generally not necessary to discontinue hyperthyroidism medication before vaccination.

The 9-valent HPV vaccine is clinically used to prevent nine HPV subtypes—45, 58, 31, 18, 6, 16, 52, 33, and 11—and can prevent over 90% of cervical cancers and over 90% of genital warts. Patients with hyperthyroidism typically do not need to stop taking their hyperthyroidism medication before receiving the 9-valent HPV vaccine. However, patients should ensure their thyroid function has been adjusted to within normal ranges and that their condition is stable prior to vaccination. This generally does not affect the efficacy of the HPV vaccine, and the 9-valent HPV vaccine itself is unlikely to adversely affect hyperthyroidism. Before vaccination, patients should ensure adequate rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and maintain a low-iodine diet.

Hyperthyroidism may be caused by excessive anxiety, high mental stress, or irregular lifestyle habits, and may manifest as abnormal symptoms such as weight loss, insomnia, vivid dreams, fatigue, and hand tremors.
