Introduction
Linagliptin tablets are an antidiabetic medication clinically indicated primarily for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Compared with other antihyperglycemic agents, linagliptin has a relatively favorable safety profile with fewer adverse effects; it generally does not cause abnormal hepatic effects. Therefore, dose adjustment is not required in patients with hepatic impairment, and patients need not be overly concerned. However, linagliptin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to this drug.

Linagliptin tablets are antidiabetic agents clinically indicated primarily for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. As monotherapy, they serve as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Potential adverse effects include muscle pain, hypoglycemia, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, and cough; however, linagliptin typically does not adversely affect liver function. Therefore, dose adjustment is generally unnecessary in patients with hepatic impairment, and patients need not be overly concerned. Compared with other antidiabetic medications, linagliptin has a relatively favorable safety profile with fewer side effects. When used in combination with other antidiabetic agents—and coupled with appropriate dietary management and regular physical activity—it can effectively maintain blood glucose levels within the normal range in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Linagliptin tablets are generally contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug—for example, those who experience urticaria, bronchial hyperreactivity, or angioedema.
