Introduction
HbA1c of 6.0 refers to glycated hemoglobin at 6.0 g/L, which is within the normal range. In healthy individuals, the normal range for glycated hemoglobin is between 4.0 g/L and 6.0 g/L. A glycated hemoglobin level of 6.0 g/L falls within this normal range and is considered normal; however, it represents a borderline value and is on the higher end of the normal spectrum.

An HbA1c level of 6.0 refers to 6.0 g/L, which falls within the normal range.

In healthy individuals, the normal HbA1c range is generally 4.0–6.0 g/L. An HbA1c level of 6.0 g/L lies at the upper limit of this normal range—though still considered normal, it represents a borderline high value. Therefore, it warrants attention: adopting healthier lifestyle and dietary habits is advisable, and regular monitoring is recommended to promptly detect and address any abnormalities.

HbA1c levels alone cannot be used to diagnose diabetes. To confirm a diagnosis of diabetes, additional tests—including oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), urine glucose test, and fasting plasma glucose measurement—must be performed under a physician’s guidance. In daily life, sugar intake should be controlled; high-sugar foods such as cream-based desserts and milk candies should be limited. Staple foods should primarily consist of rice, wheat-based products, and whole grains, while overall nutrient intake should align with individual physiological requirements.
