Introduction
Pencils may sometimes puncture the skin during use. If the injury causes bleeding, promptly remove the pencil tip; use sterilized tweezers to extract any broken fragments, thoroughly rinse the wound with large amounts of clean water, and apply immediate first aid to stop persistent bleeding. Afterwards, apply an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ointment to the wound and bandage it properly.

If you are bleeding from a pencil puncture wound, it is important to treat the injury promptly to avoid leaving a black mark or causing infection. Depending on the depth of the puncture, different treatment methods should be applied. Superficial wounds can be managed at home, while deeper wounds require medication and dressing. The general procedure is as follows:

1. Completely remove the pencil tip without leaving any residue; use sterilized tweezers to extract any broken fragments.

2. After removing the foreign object, thoroughly rinse the wound with plenty of clean water. If only the surface skin has a black mark, the discoloration will naturally fade and disappear in a few days as the outer skin layer sheds through normal metabolism.

3. If the pencil puncture is deep and bleeding persists, first apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Then apply an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ointment to the wound and cover it with a waterproof adhesive bandage. If the pencil punctures a sensitive or special area, seek medical attention immediately for proper treatment.
