Introduction
Pulmonary vascular dilation is generally caused by heart disease or lung tumors. It refers to the widening of the pulmonary arteries beyond the normal range, indicating the presence of pulmonary hypertension. In the early stages, pulmonary vascular dilation is typically asymptomatic and may only cause discomfort during intense physical activity. As pulmonary arterial pressure increases, systemic symptoms may gradually develop.

Pulmonary vascular dilation is generally caused by heart disease or lung tumors. Pulmonary vascular dilation refers to the widening of the pulmonary artery beyond the normal range, indicating the presence of pulmonary hypertension. In the early stages, pulmonary vascular dilation usually has no symptoms and may only cause discomfort during intense physical activity. As pulmonary arterial pressure increases, systemic symptoms may gradually develop, including shortness of breath, chest pain, hemoptysis (coughing up blood), fatigue, weakness, Raynaud's phenomenon, and hoarseness. It is recommended to seek medical evaluation at a local hospital as soon as possible to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.

1. Heart Disease

If the degree of pulmonary vascular dilation is mild, it is typically due to inflammatory heart conditions. It is important to promptly visit a hospital to examine the affected area and accurately determine the underlying cause for effective treatment.

2. Lung Tumor

If a patient not only exhibits signs of cardiovascular dilation but also experiences coughing and elevated blood pressure, a lung tumor may be present. Immediate medical evaluation and surgical removal, if necessary, are required.

In daily life, it is advisable to undergo an annual cardiac check-up to effectively prevent cardiovascular diseases. It is also beneficial to consume more heart-healthy vegetables and fruits. A light diet is recommended; avoid overindulging in cold, greasy, sweet, spicy, or irritating foods such as fried chicken, hot pot, and cream cakes.
