Generally, ear massage is an external therapy used for disease prevention and treatment, primarily focusing on the auricle. Common techniques used in ear massage include pressing, rubbing, kneading, rolling, pinching, tapping, and grasping. The specific steps are as follows:

1. First, apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil evenly to both the front and back surfaces of the auricle.

2. Using the pads of the thumb and index finger, perform gradual point-pressure kneading along the outer edge of the auricle, moving from top to bottom and from outside to inside, for approximately 10 minutes.

3. Next, use the pads of both fingers to rotate and pinch the earlobe in a circular motion for about 5 minutes.

4. Use the fingertips to apply pressure for about 5 minutes each to the following acupoints: the Ermen (TE21) point located in the depression anterior to the incisura intertragica; the Tinggong (SI19) point found in the depression directly anterior to the tragus and posterior to the condylar process of the mandible; and the Tinghui (GB2) point situated at the posterior border of the mandibular condyle, where a depression appears when the mouth is opened.

5. Warm both hands by rubbing them together, then place the palms over the ears. After warming the ears briefly, conclude the massage.

If you intend to perform this procedure, it is recommended to visit a qualified medical institution and follow the guidance of a professional healthcare provider to avoid potential injury caused by improper technique.
