Facial muscle manipulation technique
Facial bone adjustment massage is typically performed after cleansing the face, following specific acupoint pathways. The detailed steps are as follows:
1. First, cleanse the facial skin with water and apply an appropriate amount of skincare products to prevent dryness and peeling;
2. Then, apply massage essential oil and gently press and stroke the entire face using the thumbs;
3. Next, manually stimulate the acupoints in the following order: Yintang (EX-HN3), Zanzhu (BL2), Yuyao (EX-HN4), Sizhukong (TE23), Tongziliao (GB1), Qiuhou (EX-HN7), Chengqi (ST1), Si Bai (ST2), Jingming (BL1), Yingxiang (ST20), Quanliao (SI18), Shangguan (GB3), Xiaguan (ST7), Tinggong (SI19), Tinghui (GB2), Yifeng (TE17), Dicang (ST4), Jiache (ST6). Simultaneously, press the acupoints Renzhong (GV26) and Chengjiang (CV24);
4. Then perform筋-mobilizing techniques along the following pathways: Yintang, Governor Vessel (Du Meridian), medial ends of the eyebrows, Bladder Meridian, Gallbladder Meridian, outer canthus, and Gallbladder Meridian;
5. Use the flat surface of a massage tool to massage the forehead. With the edge of the tool, scrape the three vertical forehead lines starting from the center outward, then horizontally stretch using the tool’s edge, followed by hand palm massage;
6. Perform筋-mobilization along the pathway from the nasal area, nasal bridge, Yintang, Governor Vessel, Yingxiang, Stomach Meridian, lower eye orbit, temporal region (Taiyang point), hairline, upper eye orbit, back to the temporal region and hairline;
7. After massaging the upper and lower eye orbits with the flat surface of the tool, mobilize the meridians from Tongziliao (GB1), Tinggong (SI19), Tinghui (GB2), and the Gallbladder Meridian, directing flow behind the ear toward the lymph nodes;
8. Then follow the pathway from Bitong, Jiache (ST6), Tinggong (SI19), Tinghui (GB2), Ermen (TE21), and the Stomach Meridian, guiding the flow behind the ear and down to the axillary lymph nodes;
9. Mobilize along the pathway from Chengjiang (CV24), Jiache (ST6), and the Stomach Meridian, directing drainage behind the ears toward the axillary lymph nodes;
10. Finally, rub both hands together to generate warmth and massage from behind the ears down toward the axillary lymph nodes.
