Introduction
If a patient develops suppurative otitis media, after cleaning the ear canal, treatment can be administered by instilling hydrogen peroxide solution into the ear canal. Use a sterile cotton swab moistened with normal saline to gently clean the external ear and remove any dirty secretions from the ear canal. Then, instill 3–5 drops of 1.5%–3% low-concentration hydrogen peroxide solution into the ear canal and gently pull on the auricle to facilitate distribution.

If a patient develops suppurative otitis media, after cleaning the ear canal, hydrogen peroxide solution can be administered into the ear canal for treatment. The procedure is as follows:

1. Use a sterile cotton swab moistened with normal saline to gently clean the external ear and remove any dirty secretions within the ear canal;

2. Instill 3–5 drops of 1.5%–3% low-concentration hydrogen peroxide solution into the ear canal, gently pull the earlobe to help distribute the solution. Instruct the patient to tilt their head slightly so that the solution remains in contact with the ear canal for approximately 5 minutes;

3. After wiping away the hydrogen peroxide solution from the ear canal with a cotton swab, antibiotic ear drops may be administered to control infection.

It is recommended to visit a reputable hospital and perform these procedures under the guidance of a qualified physician. If discomfort occurs, seek medical attention promptly.
