Why do I have diarrhea every day in summer?
Frequent diarrhea during summer may be caused by cold stimulation, intestinal flora imbalance, chronic gastroenteritis, and other reasons.
1. Cold Stimulation
Daily diarrhea in summer may result from regularly consuming cold foods such as ice cream and chilled beverages, or spending prolonged periods in air-conditioned environments with low temperatures, without adequate protection for the abdomen to maintain warmth.
2. Intestinal Flora Imbalance
Consuming highly irritating foods frequently during summer, or insufficient intake of high-fiber foods, may lead to abnormal proportions of intestinal bacteria, reducing beneficial bacteria and causing intestinal flora imbalance. This can trigger uncomfortable symptoms such as diarrhea and bloating, resulting in daily diarrhea throughout summer.
3. Chronic Gastroenteritis
Daily diarrhea in summer may also stem from unhygienic eating habits, leading to infections by intestinal bacteria such as Salmonella or Campylobacter jejuni, intestinal fungi like Aspergillus or Phycomycetes, or parasites including Toxoplasma and roundworms. These infections can cause chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal mucosa, resulting in chronic gastritis.
