Introduction
Under normal circumstances, a normal 12-week NT scan with unclear visualization of the nasal bone may be caused by factors such as slow fetal development, incorrect fetal position, or abnormal nasal bone development. If the unclear imaging is due to slow fetal development or improper positioning, it can be confirmed through a repeat examination. If it results from abnormal nasal bone development, treatment can be provided after the baby is born.

Under normal circumstances, a normal nuchal translucency (NT) measurement at 12 weeks with unclear visualization of the nasal bone may be caused by factors such as slower fetal development, incorrect fetal position, or abnormal nasal bone development. If the issue is due to slow development or improper positioning, it can be confirmed through a repeat examination. If it results from abnormal nasal bone development, treatment can be considered after the baby is born.

1. Slower development: Although the NT scan result is normal, the fetus might be developing more slowly, so the nasal bone may not yet be fully visible at this stage. It is recommended to wait a while and allow further fetal development before undergoing another NT scan.

2. Incorrect fetal position: When the fetus is in an unfavorable position at 12 weeks, it may also lead to a normal NT measurement but unclear nasal bone visualization. It is advisable to follow the doctor's guidance for fetal positioning maneuvers to achieve a proper position before re-examination to assess nasal bone visibility.

3. Abnormal nasal bone development: This occurs when the fetal nasal bone itself develops abnormally, resulting in poor visualization. It is recommended to consult a specialist for a thorough evaluation of the fetal condition. Taking medications that support pregnancy maintenance may help promote normal fetal growth and development, with definitive treatment planned after birth.
