Introduction
Blurred vision after prolonged gaming may be caused by non-medical factors such as poor lifestyle habits and environmental conditions, or by medical conditions such as keratitis and refractive errors. Excessive eye strain, overly bright or dim lighting, and pathogenic infections in daily life can all lead to blurred vision. Symptoms can be improved through home care, medication, or surgical treatment.

Blurred vision after prolonged gaming may result from non-disease factors such as unhealthy lifestyle habits and environmental influences, or from medical conditions such as keratitis and refractive errors. Excessive eye strain, prolonged exposure to poor lighting, and infections caused by pathogens can all lead to blurred vision. This condition can be improved through home care, medication, or surgical treatment.

I. Non-Disease Factors

1. Lifestyle Habits

Overuse of the eyes, rubbing the eyes, exposure to intense light, and wearing contact lenses or cosmetic colored lenses can cause eye fatigue and lead to blurred vision. Adopt proper eye-use posture by maintaining a distance of 30–40 cm between the eyes and the object being viewed. The eyes need rest after prolonged use, and sleep provides essential time for eye recovery, so it's important to ensure adequate sleep.

2. Environmental Factors

Insufficient ambient lighting and prolonged near-work increase the risk of myopia and result in blurred vision. Avoid studying or working in excessively dim rooms. After one hour of gaming, work, or study, allow your eyes to rest for several minutes.

II. Disease-Related Factors

1. Keratitis

The cornea is the transparent, circular tissue at the front of the eye and is vulnerable to invasion by exogenous pathogenic microorganisms, including bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, leading to corneal inflammation. Once the specific infectious agent is identified, targeted anti-infective treatments should be administered—such as antibiotics like ofloxacin for bacterial infections or antiviral agents like acyclovir for viral infections. For eye pain, cycloplegic agents may be used to relieve discomfort. In severe cases where medication fails or corneal damage is extensive, surgical interventions such as corneal transplantation or eyelid malformation correction may be required.

2. Refractive Errors

Refractive errors include hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, presbyopia, and myopia (both pseudomyopia and true myopia), all of which can cause blurred vision. Vision correction is typically achieved using corrective lenses or eyeglasses. Surgical options are also available, including corneal refractive surgery and intraocular refractive surgery.

In daily life, maintain good eye hygiene by avoiding rubbing the eyes with hands, prevent eye strain, balance work and rest appropriately, give your eyes regular breaks, avoid using eyes in poorly lit environments, and keep the eyes and surrounding areas clean.
