Introduction
Fetal brain cysts should primarily be managed through observation and symptom relief with medication; if treatment is not feasible, termination of pregnancy may be considered. If the cyst continues to grow and is expected to adversely affect the fetus, prompt medical consultation for termination of pregnancy is recommended. In cases of fetal intracranial infection, medications such as acetylspiramycin tablets or sulfamethoxypyridazine tablets may be used under medical guidance.

Generally, the management of fetal brain cysts detected by four-dimensional color ultrasound depends on the underlying cause. Fetal brain cysts are often associated with congenital developmental abnormalities, intrauterine infections, or chromosomal abnormalities. Management primarily involves close observation and symptomatic treatment with medication; if the condition cannot be effectively managed, termination of pregnancy may be recommended.

1. Congenital developmental abnormalities: If a pregnant woman is exposed to toxic or harmful substances during early pregnancy, it may affect fetal brain development. If the cyst is found to be small during examination and the fetus shows otherwise normal vital signs, the pregnancy can usually continue with regular monitoring. However, if the cyst continues to grow and is expected to adversely affect the fetus, prompt medical consultation for possible termination of pregnancy is advised.

2. Intrauterine infection: If a pregnant woman is infected with toxoplasma, the pathogen may invade the fetal brain and lead to brain cysts. If prenatal screening confirms normal fetal development, medications such as Acetylspiramycin tablets or Sulfamethoxydiazine tablets may be administered under medical supervision. If the infection responds well to treatment, continuation of the pregnancy is generally possible.

3. Chromosomal abnormalities: When brain cysts result from fetal chromosomal abnormalities, relevant chromosomal testing should be performed as directed by a physician. If chromosomal abnormalities are confirmed, termination of pregnancy is typically recommended.
