Introduction
There are many causes of dizziness and lightheadedness, possibly due to insufficient sleep, colds, cervical spondylosis, or other reasons. Sleep deprivation may disrupt the body's blood supply system, leading to hypoxia and ischemia, thereby causing symptoms such as dizziness and headaches. Disruption of the sympathetic nervous system or compression of the vertebral artery can also result in dizziness and lightheadedness.

Generally, there are many possible causes of dizziness and lightheadedness, which may result from factors such as lack of sleep, colds, or cervical spondylosis.

1. Sleep deprivation: This may disrupt the body's blood supply system, slowing blood flow and reducing blood volume, leading to insufficient blood supply and resulting in hypoxia and ischemia. Symptoms may include dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting. It is recommended to maintain adequate sleep. In severe cases, patients may take Anshen Bunaoye (tonic for calming the mind and nourishing the brain) or Baille Mian capsules orally as directed by a physician to improve symptoms.

2. Common cold: Viral infections from the common cold can cause feelings of dizziness and head fullness, often accompanied by symptoms such as nasal congestion and low-grade fever. Treatment may include oral administration of Fenghan Ganmao Granules or Compound Paracetamol and Amantadine Capsules as prescribed by a doctor.

3. Cervical spondylosis: Dizziness is mainly caused by dysfunction of the sympathetic nerves or compression of the vertebral artery. Patients are advised to minimize activities involving prolonged head-down positions and avoid maintaining the same posture for extended periods, which may repeatedly compress neck nerves and blood vessels and lead to dizziness.
