Introduction
After the occurrence of gastric acid reflux, gastrointestinal function tends to be weakened and peristalsis becomes slower. Therefore, foods with high acidity should not be consumed. Waxberries are acidic fruits; eating them may stimulate increased gastric acid secretion, worsening acid reflux symptoms and even triggering gastric ulcers. Hence, individuals with gastric acid reflux should generally avoid consuming waxberries. Gastric acid reflux can be managed under medical guidance using medications that suppress gastric acid secretion.

Plum fruits (waxberries) are generally not recommended for individuals with acid reflux, as they may increase gastric acid secretion and worsen symptoms.

Acid reflux may result from irregular eating habits, stress, or impaired gastric mucosal barrier function. Common symptoms include nausea, heartburn, and stomach pain. After such symptoms occur, gastrointestinal function tends to weaken and peristalsis slows down. Therefore, foods high in acidity should typically be avoided. Waxberries contain a relatively high amount of organic acids and are considered acidic fruits. Consuming them may irritate the gastric mucosa, increase gastric acid secretion, exacerbate acid reflux, and even potentially trigger gastric ulcers, thereby negatively affecting recovery. For these reasons, people experiencing acid reflux should generally avoid eating waxberries.

In daily life, individuals with acid reflux can consume warm, soft, and easily digestible foods such as noodle soup and rice porridge. Under a doctor's guidance, medications that suppress gastric acid secretion may also be used to relieve symptoms. Commonly prescribed medications include omeprazole enteric-coated capsules and domperidone tablets.
