Introduction
Sudden stomach pain and vomiting may be caused by gastric spasms, acute gastroenteritis, or acute gastritis. Gastric spasms lead to involuntary contractions of the stomach muscles and a squeezing sensation in the abdominal area, resulting in sudden stomach pain and vomiting. Acute gastroenteritis causes an acute inflammatory response in the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, leading to sudden stomach pain and vomiting. Damage to the gastric mucosal barrier results in acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa, causing acute gastritis and subsequent sudden stomach pain and vomiting.

Sudden stomach pain and vomiting may be caused by gastric spasms, acute gastroenteritis, or acute gastritis. It is recommended to seek timely medical attention at a hospital to determine the specific underlying cause of these symptoms.

1. Gastric Spasms

Cooling of the stomach, improper diet, or taking medications such as aspirin that can damage the gastric mucosa may all trigger gastric spasms. This leads to muscle contractions in the stomach and a squeezing sensation in the abdomen, resulting in sudden stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, and other discomforts.

2. Acute Gastroenteritis

Overeating, consuming contaminated food, or infections with viruses, bacteria, or other pathogens, as well as exposure to chemical toxins, may lead to acute gastroenteritis. These factors cause an acute inflammatory response in the gastrointestinal mucosa, resulting in sudden stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and similar symptoms.

3. Acute Gastritis

Irritation from diet, alcohol, or medications may damage the protective barrier of the stomach lining, causing acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa and leading to acute gastritis, which manifests as sudden stomach pain and vomiting. Some patients may also experience additional symptoms such as loss of appetite and nausea.
