How to dry the ear after cleaning with hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is a common oxidizing agent with antibacterial properties. If you have external otitis or there is discharge in the ear canal, hydrogen peroxide can be used to rinse the ear. However, hydrogen peroxide should not remain in the ear canal for prolonged periods to avoid irritation. It must be thoroughly dried within the recommended time. The specific procedure is as follows:

1. Tilt your head so that the ear containing the hydrogen peroxide faces downward, then gently tap around the ear with your hand to help drain out excess solution.
2. The doctor inserts a fiberoptic endoscope into the ear canal to examine the condition inside the ear.
3. The doctor opens a clean cotton swab and slowly inserts it into the ear canal containing hydrogen peroxide, wiping in a clockwise motion to absorb the liquid. This process is repeated several times until the endoscope confirms that no hydrogen peroxide remains in the ear.
