How to relieve ear pain inside the ears while running in winter
Ear pain caused by running in winter occurs because cold air stimulates the eardrum through the external auditory canal during exercise. Additionally, breathing becomes significantly heavier while running, and changes in air pressure can travel through the Eustachian tube into the middle ear cavity, causing pain or a sensation of fullness in the ears. This discomfort can be relieved using several methods, as detailed below:

1. Rub the ears
Place the palms flat and firmly against both ears with moderate pressure. Rotate hands clockwise and then counterclockwise repeatedly until the ears feel warm. This promotes local blood circulation and helps relieve ear pain after winter runs.
2. Apply ginger juice
Wash and dry ginger, then crush it finely with a knife. The finer the ginger is minced, the better. Wrap the minced ginger in clean gauze and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Apply the ginger juice onto the outer ear (auricle) to improve local blood circulation and alleviate ear pain following winter runs.
3. Warm towel compress
Soak a clean towel in hot water until thoroughly saturated, then slightly wring out excess water. Apply the warm towel over both ears to promote local blood circulation and relieve ear pain after running in winter.
4. Wear ear warmers
Put on ear warmers before running to keep the auricles and skin inside the ear canal warm, thereby preventing or reducing ear pain after winter runs.
