Liposuction procedure for "富贵包" (dorsal neck fat pad)

A "富贵包" (富贵 hump) is a lump caused by cervical fascial thickening or ossification of the nuchal ligament, typically located in the upper back at the junction of the cervical and thoracic vertebrae. It can be improved through localized liposuction. Below is an overview of the entire liposuction procedure for removing a富贵 hump:

1. After administering local anesthesia, disinfect the area to be treated.

2. Make a 3- to 5-mm incision at the midpoint of the line connecting the lower angles of the two scapulae, or place the incision within the skin folds at the apex of the posterior axillary line on both sides.

3. Evenly inject tumescent anesthetic solution into the fatty pad of the neck and shoulder region, expanding the skin until it appears full and smooth.

4. Twenty minutes after injecting the tumescent solution, insert the liposuction cannula deeply into the fatty pad of the neck and shoulder area. Uniformly remove the fatty tissue in layers along the surface of the muscle layer.

5. During suctioning, confirm that most or all of the fatty tissue has been removed and that the treated area is smooth and symmetrical. Then close the skin incision with sutures.

6. At the end of the procedure, wear a compression garment such as a shoulder-arm brace or shoulder-chest binder, or remain lying flat for 24 hours if possible, placing a cotton pillow under the incision site to apply pressure to the surgical area.

Precautions: Wear loose, easy-to-remove clothing when undergoing liposuction. After surgery, maintain good personal hygiene and keep the wound clean to prevent infection.
