Introduction
Nasal sinus enlargement can be treated with nebulization therapy. The patient should sit or lie in a semi-reclining position. The doctor adds medication and 30–50 ml of normal saline into the nebulizer chamber, adjusts the flow rate, then inserts the nebulizer tube into one nostril and places a nasal plug into the other nostril. After two and a half minutes, the devices are switched between the nostrils to continue treatment, with the entire treatment lasting five minutes.

Nasal sinus enlargement may be related to environmental factors, sinusitis, nasal sinus cysts, or nasal sinus tumors. Nebulized therapy can be used to treat the condition and relieve discomfort symptoms. The specific procedure is as follows:

1. The patient should sit or lie in a semi-reclining position. Thirty minutes before treatment, the patient should rest quietly and avoid strenuous activity.

2. The doctor adds medication and 30–50 ml of normal saline into the nebulizer chamber.

3. Connect the device to power and allow it to warm up and dilute for 3–5 minutes. After adjusting the flow rate, the doctor inserts the nebulizer tube into one nostril, then places a nasal plug into the other nostril.

4. The patient should press the tongue against the soft palate.

5. Turn on the nebulizer to begin treatment. After two and a half minutes, switch the devices between the two nostrils and continue treatment. The entire treatment process lasts five minutes.
