How to relieve swelling and pain from a toothache
Toothache and swelling are mostly caused by dental caries. Following medical advice, tooth extraction may be chosen to relieve swelling and pain. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. Perform routine disinfection before surgery, wear gloves, and lay sterile drapes.

2. The patient should sit upright and receive anesthesia.
3. Analyze various resistances based on preoperative X-ray images.
4. Use instruments such as dental elevators and high-speed handpieces to overcome resistance, divide the tooth into sections, and separate the roots of multi-rooted teeth individually.
5. Gently rock the tooth with dental forceps to gradually dislocate the root.
6. After surgery, place a sterile cotton roll sprayed with anti-inflammatory and hemostatic medication into the patient's mouth.
Note: Patients with tooth pain and swelling should eat light, soft, warm, easily digestible foods, and avoid excessively hot food, which may irritate the affected area and worsen pain and swelling.
