What is ketoprofen tablet?
Ketoprofen tablets generally refer to ketoprofen-containing tablets. Ketoprofen tablets are an oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat various types of pain caused by multiple conditions.
The main active ingredient in ketoprofen tablets is ketoprofen. It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as joint pain, headache, toothache, muscle pain, and back pain associated with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, periodontitis, and influenza. The drug works by inhibiting the synthesis and release of enzyme substances in the body such as cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, thereby achieving anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.
Common side effects of ketoprofen tablets include nausea, rash, and swelling of the face or throat. It may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Therefore, patients with underlying medical conditions such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, or a history of stroke should not use this type of medication.
