Introduction
Symptoms after blood donation are classified as mild, moderate, and severe. During or after blood donation, individuals may experience palpitations, dizziness, facial sweating, and pallor. In addition to mild symptoms, moderate reactions include palpitations, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, and cold, clammy skin, with mild hypoxia occurring in severe cases. Some patients may develop significant cerebral ischemia, leading to seizures, syncope, and persistent hypotension.

The symptoms after blood donation are mainly divided into mild, moderate, and severe, with varying manifestations.

1. Mild symptoms

During or after blood donation, excessive anxiety or nervous system dysregulation may cause palpitations, dizziness, facial sweating, pallor, and similar symptoms. It is recommended to rest in bed, supplement glucose or energy drinks appropriately, and consume nutritious foods.

2. Moderate symptoms

In addition to mild symptoms, some individuals may experience palpitations, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, cold and clammy skin, and other symptoms; in severe cases, mild hypoxia may occur. Adequate rest and nutritional supplementation are advised, and if necessary, oxygen therapy under medical supervision should be administered to alleviate symptoms.

3. Severe symptoms

Besides the above symptoms, some patients may develop significant cerebral ischemia, leading to seizures, fainting, persistent hypotension, bradycardia, or loss of consciousness. Immediate medical attention is recommended to avoid delays in treatment.
