Symptoms of bovine acidosis
The symptoms of bovine acidosis generally manifest in the respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems.
1. Respiratory System
Patients with bovine acidosis may experience discomfort due to irritation after inhaling acidic substances through the respiratory tract. Symptoms include rapid breathing, difficulty breathing, and a characteristic fruity (resembling rotten apples) odor on the breath.
2. Digestive System
After entering the digestive tract via the respiratory system, patients may develop gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, general weakness, cyanosis of the lips, and in severe cases, intense colicky pain around the navel.
3. Nervous System
If poisoning is severe and left untreated, the nervous system may become affected, leading to symptoms such as dizziness, hallucinations (auditory and visual), weak pulse, increased heart rate, and headache.
Bovine acidosis may also present other symptoms, such as elevated blood glucose and high blood ketone levels. It is important to seek timely medical evaluation and appropriate treatment based on specific conditions.
