Introduction
For a child suffering from heatstroke with abdominal pain, immediately apply a cold compress by soaking a towel in cold water and placing it on the forehead. Medications such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water, Huoxiang Zhengqi capsules, or Huoxiang Zhengqi pills can also be used for treatment. If the abdominal pain is caused by gastrointestinal spasms due to heatstroke, antispasmodic drugs like belladonna tablets or anisodamine tablets may be administered. In cases of severe abdominal pain from heatstroke, intravenous infusion of normal saline or glucose solution may be necessary.

Abdominal pain in children due to heatstroke can be improved through cold compresses, medication, fluid replacement, and other methods.

1. Cold Compress

When a child experiences abdominal pain from heatstroke, they should immediately be moved to a cool, well-ventilated environment to facilitate heat dissipation. Wet, sweat-soaked clothing should be removed and replaced. Then, use a towel soaked in cold water to apply a cold compress to the forehead, helping rapidly normalize body temperature and relieve abdominal pain caused by heatstroke.

2. Medication

Children with abdominal pain due to heatstroke may also take medications such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water, acetaminophen tablets, or Huoxiang Zhengqi pills under medical guidance to alleviate heatstroke symptoms. If severe vomiting and nausea caused by heatstroke lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction and spasms resulting in abdominal pain, antispasmodic medications such as belladonna tablets or anisodamine tablets may be used as directed by a physician to help relieve and improve symptoms. During medication, closely monitor the child's condition for any changes.

3. Fluid Replacement

If a child's abdominal pain due to heatstroke is severe, prompt hospitalization is recommended, and intravenous administration of physiological saline, glucose solution, or other fluids should be conducted under medical supervision.

In addition, for children experiencing diarrhea due to heatstroke, drinking sugar-salt water, mung bean water, or similar beverages can help maintain the body’s water and electrolyte balance.
