Introduction
Clinically, there is no such thing as a quick recovery from muscle strain caused by push-ups. When a muscle strain occurs during push-ups, recovery can be promoted through adequate rest, local cold compresses, heat therapy, topical medications, and oral medications. Sufficient rest must be ensured during the recovery period. If the muscle strain is severe, prompt medical evaluation at a hospital is necessary to determine the appropriate treatment based on the severity of the injury.

There is no quick recovery from muscle strain caused by doing push-ups in clinical practice. When muscle strain occurs during push-ups, recovery can be promoted through adequate rest, local cold compresses, heat therapy, topical medications, oral medications, and other methods.

1. Rest more

After a muscle strain, it is essential to immediately stop doing push-ups and any other activities that may cause pain or discomfort. Sufficient rest should be ensured to facilitate muscle healing.

2. Cold compress

Within the first 24 hours after the injury, apply an ice pack or cold towel to the affected area. This helps constrict blood vessels, reducing pain and swelling.

3. Heat therapy

More than 24 hours after the injury, applying local heat can improve blood circulation and promote muscle relaxation, helping resolve bruising and internal bleeding.

4. Topical medications

If obvious redness, swelling, and pain occur locally, anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications such as lofem bafu plasters, xiaotong tie膏, or diclofenac diethylamine gel may be used under medical guidance to relieve symptoms and promote muscle recovery.

5. Oral medications

If the pain is severe, oral medications such as nimesulide dispersible tablets, ibuprofen sustained-release capsules, or loxoprofen sodium tablets may be taken under medical supervision to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain.

During recovery from muscle strain, sufficient rest must be maintained and all physical activities should be stopped to support muscle healing. If the muscle strain is severe, prompt medical evaluation is necessary. Appropriate treatment measures should be implemented based on the severity of the injury.
