Introduction
Nasal septum redness, swelling, and congestion can generally be managed under a doctor's guidance through medications, surgical treatment, or other therapeutic approaches depending on the underlying cause. Inflammation within the nasal mucosa may lead to mucosal congestion, swelling, and turbinate enlargement, often accompanied by symptoms such as nasal obstruction and runny nose. In such cases, antibiotic medications may be used as directed by a physician.

Nasal septum redness, swelling, and congestion can generally be managed under a doctor's guidance through medication, surgery, or other treatments depending on the underlying cause.

1. Medication: Inflammation within the nasal mucosa may lead to mucosal congestion, swelling, enlarged turbinates, as well as symptoms such as nasal obstruction and runny nose. In such cases, antibiotics prescribed by a physician—such as amoxicillin capsules or roxithromycin tablets—can help reduce inflammation and fight infection, thereby alleviating the above symptoms caused by chronic rhinitis.

2. Surgical treatment: A deviated nasal septum can also cause the aforementioned symptoms. This occurs when the nasal septum is displaced to one side or has a localized protrusion, leading to congestion and swelling on one side of the septum, potentially causing nasal blockage, dizziness, and headaches. Under medical advice, correction surgery for a deviated septum via endoscopic sinus surgery may be performed. Proper postoperative care is essential after the procedure.

3. Other treatments: If nasal septum redness, swelling, and congestion result from trauma, symptoms may include hematoma or abscess formation in the nasal cavity, often accompanied by local pain. As recommended by a physician, treatment options may include local incision and drainage or needle aspiration to remove accumulated blood and pus, along with debridement of necrotic tissue, followed by irrigation using hydrogen peroxide or iodophor.

In addition, patients should maintain a bland diet and avoid spicy or irritating foods to prevent worsening of symptoms.
