Introduction
Patients with cardiac stents should generally avoid eating crab and shrimp. Seafood typically contains high levels of salt, which can place additional strain on the heart. Consuming crab and shrimp may increase blood uric acid levels, thereby elevating the risk of cardiovascular disease. Cardiac stent implantation is commonly performed in patients with coronary heart disease or acute coronary syndrome, and for those with acute myocardial ischemia, a light diet is particularly important.

In general, patients with cardiac stents should avoid eating crab and shrimp. Seafood typically contains high levels of salt, which can place extra strain on the heart.

Consuming crab and shrimp may increase blood uric acid levels, thereby raising the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Cardiac stent implantation is commonly performed in patients with coronary heart disease or acute coronary syndrome, who must pay special attention to maintaining a light diet, particularly during episodes of acute myocardial ischemia. After stent placement, patients should follow a low-salt, low-fat diet, avoid excessive intake of animal organs and greasy foods, and limit milk consumption. It is advisable to eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and similar foods, which help stabilize blood glucose and reduce blood cholesterol. Patients are encouraged to use vegetable oils and adopt cooking methods such as boiling, steaming, and cold mixing. Lean meats like fish and chicken are suitable choices. Egg consumption should be limited to about two per week. Patients should also work on improving lifestyle habits by quitting smoking, avoiding alcohol, and increasing physical activity.

In addition, patients must take prescribed medications regularly, actively manage risk factors, and undergo periodic monitoring of blood pressure, blood lipids, blood viscosity, and other relevant indicators.
