Introduction
Swelling of the inferior nasal turbinate may be caused by allergic rhinitis and can be treated with medications such as chlorpheniramine maleate tablets or cetirizine hydrochloride tablets. It could also result from acute rhinitis, for which naphazoline nasal spray or oxymetazoline nasal spray may be used. Additionally, it might be due to chronic rhinitis, which can be managed with赛洛唑啉 hydrochloride nasal drops, naphazoline hydrochloride nasal drops, or surgical resection of the inferior turbinate.

Nasal turbinate swelling can generally be treated according to its different underlying causes, with common causes including allergic rhinitis, acute rhinitis, and chronic rhinitis.

1. Allergic Rhinitis: In patients with allergic rhinitis, nasal mucosal edema and congestion may occur, potentially leading to inferior turbinate swelling. It is recommended to take medications such as chlorpheniramine maleate tablets or cetirizine hydrochloride tablets under medical guidance. Additionally, nasal irrigation with normal saline can help maintain nasal cleanliness.

2. Acute Rhinitis: During the acute phase of rhinitis, the inferior turbinates become congested, swollen, and enlarged, which can easily cause inferior turbinate swelling. As directed by a physician, treatments may include naphazoline nasal spray or oxymetazoline nasal spray to reduce nasal mucosal congestion and swelling.

3. Chronic Rhinitis: If rhinitis is left untreated for a prolonged period, it may progress into chronic rhinitis, which can also lead to inferior turbinate swelling. Treatment options, based on medical advice, may include赛洛唑啉盐酸滴鼻液 (xylometazoline hydrochloride nasal drops), 萘甲唑啉盐酸滴鼻液 (naphazoline hydrochloride nasal drops), or surgical interventions such as inferior turbinate resection.

Besides the above, inferior turbinate swelling may also result from conditions such as sinusitis or hypertrophic rhinitis. It is advisable to follow medical guidance for appropriate treatment.
