Introduction
Unstable blood pressure after stent placement refers to fluctuations in blood pressure following a cardiac stent procedure. This may be caused by physiological factors, which usually require no treatment, or by pathological conditions such as primary hypertension, which can be managed with medications like nifedipine controlled-release tablets or amlodipine besylate tablets. Hyperthyroidism can be treated with propylthiouracil tablets or methimazole tablets, while heart failure can be managed with captopril tablets or furosemide tablets.
Blood pressure instability after stent placement generally refers to unstable blood pressure following a cardiac stent procedure. This instability may result from physiological factors or pathological conditions such as essential hypertension, hyperthyroidism, or heart failure. Appropriate management should be selected based on the underlying cause.
I. Physiological Factors
In general, patients may experience anxiety, tension, or increased sympathetic nervous system activity after undergoing a cardiac stent procedure, which can lead to blood pressure fluctuations. Usually, no specific treatment is required. Blood pressure tends to gradually stabilize through relaxation, adequate rest, dietary control, and regular physical activity.
II. Pathological Factors
1. Essential Hypertension
Patients with pre-existing essential hypertension may experience blood pressure instability after the stent procedure due to changes in cardiac function. In such cases, antihypertensive medications such as nifedipine controlled-release tablets or amlodipine besylate tablets may be used as directed by a physician.
2. Hyperthyroidism
In patients with hyperthyroidism, elevated levels of thyroid hormones can increase vascular resistance and lead to high blood pressure, potentially causing post-procedural blood pressure instability. Treatment may include antithyroid medications such as propylthiouracil tablets or methimazole tablets, as prescribed by a doctor.
3. Heart Failure
After a cardiac stent procedure, heart function may not immediately return to normal, and temporary heart failure may occur, leading to unstable blood pressure. In such cases, medications such as captopril tablets or furosemide tablets may be used under medical supervision.
In addition, post-stent blood pressure instability could also be caused by adverse drug reactions or acute myocardial infarction. It is recommended to follow medical advice for proper diagnosis and treatment.
