Introduction
Pharyngitis may affect singing. Pharyngitis is generally an acute or chronic inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa caused by decreased resistance and bacterial or viral invasion of the throat mucosa. Common symptoms include dryness, itching, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness, all of which can usually impair singing ability. If individuals with pharyngitis frequently sing, it may lead to further congestion and swelling of the mucosa in the throat area.

Pharyngitis may affect singing.

Pharyngitis is generally caused by decreased resistance and bacterial or viral invasion of the pharyngeal mucosa, leading to acute or chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane in the pharynx. Common symptoms include dryness, itching, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness, all of which can usually impair singing ability. If individuals with pharyngitis frequently sing, it may lead to further congestion and swelling of the pharyngeal mucosa, worsen mucosal dryness, intensify symptoms such as dry throat, throat pain, and a sensation of a foreign body, and potentially spread inflammation into the laryngeal area, resulting in more severe hoarseness or even loss of voice. Patients with pharyngitis can take antibiotic medications under medical guidance, such as amoxicillin capsules or ampicillin capsules.

Patients with pharyngitis should ensure adequate rest, avoid overusing their voice, refrain from heavy smoking and alcohol consumption, and avoid eating spicy or irritating foods.
