Kaihoujian Spray is usually administered two to three sprays per dose, approximately three times a day, but the exact frequency should be determined according to individual circumstances.

Kaihoujian Spray is indicated for sore throat and swollen gums caused by accumulated heat in the lungs and stomach, as well as symptoms such as dry mouth, bitter taste, oral ulcers, and recurrent aphthous ulcers. Kaihoujian belongs to Miao ethnic medicine. Its ingredients include *Berberis wilsonae* (Bazhaojinlong), *Sophora tonkinensis* (Shandougen), cicada slough (Chantui), menthol, and others, which have effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling, and relieving pain. It is commonly used for recurrent oral ulcers due to internal heat accumulation in the lungs and stomach. When using Kaihoujian Spray, the dosage—two to three sprays per administration, about three times daily—should be adjusted based on the child's age and condition. Before use, shake the bottle well, then spray directly into the mouth. Avoid drinking water for at least 10 minutes after spraying to prevent the medication from being washed into the stomach before it can take local effect.

It is recommended to use Kaihoujian Spray strictly according to medical advice. Avoid spicy, raw, cold, and greasy foods, maintain a light diet, and avoid emotional agitation or suppressed anger. If symptoms do not improve after three days of using Kaihoujian Spray, seek medical attention at a hospital.
