What is the usage method for the novel coronavirus antigen test kit?
Novel coronavirus antigen test kits refer to self-testing kits for detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigens, allowing individuals to perform testing themselves. Compared to nucleic acid testing, antigen testing is simpler and faster. The specific usage instructions are as follows:
1. Preparation before self-testing: Wash your hands before opening the package, and carefully check whether the packaging and contents are intact, undamaged, and within the expiration date;
2. Sample collection: First, clean the nasal cavity and remove any nasal secretions. Tilt your head slightly backward, hold the swab by the handle, and insert it through one nostril. Gently advance along the bottom of the nasal cavity 1–1.5 centimeters, then rotate against the nasal wall at least four times. Use the same swab to repeat the same procedure in the other nostril;
3. Antigen testing: Insert the swab into the sample extraction tube and swirl for 30 seconds, squeezing the tube five times. Break off the swab at the designated breakpoint, screw on the transparent cap of the extraction tube, then dispense four drops of the sample solution into the sample well. Wait 15–30 minutes before reading the result.
