How to train for unclear articulation in adult speech
Unclear articulation in adults can be treated through speech therapy. Before starting training, individuals should have confidence in themselves, overcome shyness and fear of speaking, and dare to speak loudly in public. When speaking, it is recommended to appear poised, with clear and logical thinking.
1. The patient opens their mouth and produces single-syllable sounds such as "a," "o," "e," and counts from 1 to 10.
2. After mastering single-syllable sounds and counting, begin practicing common daily vocabulary, such as "chair," "sofa," "apple," and "house."
3. Once vocabulary practice is solid, proceed to reading newspapers aloud extensively, continuing until speech becomes fluent and free of stuttering.
4. Finally, engage the patient in tongue twister exercises to further improve speech fluency.
Consistent practice is essential; avoid interruptions, as they may prolong the treatment period and easily cause the patient to lose confidence.
